What Ban is Next - Assault Vehicles???

Following in the footsteps of the proposed AWB, perhaps we should consider banning assault vehicles as well???

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/2 ... _ref=crime

This man in Georgia allegedly caused a string of 15 crashes, injuries and 1 death. The news report I saw had many saying he was intentionally hitting vehicles. Sounds scary to me...

Perhaps his vehicle had a thingy that goes up??? What if this had been around a school? We must do it for the children!!!!!

It would have to have pistol grip steering wheel for it to be considered an assault vehicle! :biggrinjester:

People are killed everyday by automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles. We should get all those assault vehicles off the road.

Just think how much we can reduce our carbon footprint with this ban. We could seriously reduce global warming with this effort. Turn them in, turn them all in.

All we have to do is say its for the trees.......err I mean for the children. After all we want them to be able to see the trees, but not touch or climb. Wouldn't want the trees damaged by the children's actions. That would be crudity to trees.

Even though this thread points out the appropriateness of banning automobiles when applying the same logic used to ban guns, this reasoning is totally lost on the antis. What makes it worse is that driving is a privelege but the 2A is a right.

We have got to get over using the work 'Assault' so much. For liberals this has a negative impact on almost all items.

Don't call it an AR or an AK, call it what it really is, which is a 'Modern Musket'.

Lets take a page from the liberal handbook. First it was a 'Presidential Order', which sounds somewhat imperial. So they changed it to 'Executive Order', and a few days later to 'Executive Action', trying to sound proactive.

Change the label, change the impact.
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

Should call them the same as the DHS who is in the process of biding for 7,000 select-fire "PERSONAL DEFENSE WEAPONS"

I like it! I only own DEFENSIVE weapons! In fact we should leave out the word weapons. I only own Defensive Tools.

Yes, ban them!

They have many "military type" features"

1. Grips - Called a steering wheel, allowing the user to control the assault vehicle, especially at high speed.
2. Shrouds - Called the hood, that prevents being burned by a hot engine after running at high speed.
3. Silencers - Called mufflers, that allow for stealthy running.
4. Headlights - That allow the user to acquire and accurately track the road in the dark.
5. Accelerator Pedal - That allow an unlimited number of miles, on one push, until the vehicle is out of fuel.
6. Tailgates or Hatches - The thing that goes up!

Nobody needs one of these to go to the Zen, Yoga, workout gym in the daylight!!

I bet it had a high capacity fuel tank too! Need to limit that to 10 gallons for trucks, and 5 gallons for compact cars.
