Can anyone tell me if this was "gang-related"?

I would assume it went off as he was shoving his gun back in the waistband of his pants with no holster.Piney wrote:KHOU reports--

I still don't see the common sense in telling people to quietly sit in a room and wait for someone to execute them.Student Luis Resendiz, 22, hid quietly in a small room with dozens of classmates after the gunfire rang out. All he could think about was the shooting in Connecticut last month.

there is no common sense in that.. Them poor sheep would have seen my tail end as I was leaving as sqiftly and cautiously as possible. I would rather take my chances out in the open then to sit in casket waiting to be shot.

Re: Shooting at Lonestar College
I was listening to the scanner from Harris County while the search for the suspects was going on. At one point I heard them say there were agents from ATF (at least that is what it sounded like) in one of the parking lots. I thought this was odd and wonder does the ATF respond to all shootings? Does local PD/SO call them in or do they just show up when they think it is neccessary?

There is nothing odd about that at all. When an incident like that goes down at a school, EVERYBODY that hears the call responds.geekwagun wrote:I was listening to the scanner from Harris County while the search for the suspects was going on. It's liberal collectivist common sense.....fostering dependency and helplessness is their primary means of ensuring the growth of government power and control.Kythas wrote:http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?secti ... id=8963781

They might have been at the HPD training center off Rankin and Aldine Westfield and just answered the "shots fired on campus" radio. All kinds of guys train through there judging by the cars goingin and out.geekwagun wrote:I was listening to the scanner from Harris County while the search for the suspects was going on. I'm sure the students are reassured by these statements:
Lone Star College North Campus President Steve Head explained, "When we have situations like this we are relying on the sheriff's department and other agencies, but especially the sheriff's department, to come in and assist and take control."
Dr. Head said campus officers are not prepared to deal with situations like this one, that's why they rely so heavily on the sheriff's office.
