The author of the article might be just a little bit on the dense side. Spent much of my life around New Orleans. A "5 people shot today" story was not all that uncommon. Not so much in Jefferson parish though. Nobody messed around in Sheriff Harry Lee's neighborhood. No telling how many gang bangers were beaten half to death before they were thrown back into Orleans parish.
Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.
