An observation for all that are still watching for updates after mailing docs or while background check is under review: based on my experience so far it looks like they update those two categories in batch mode once weekly on the weekend. And then once background check is finished they update nightly real time.

Looks like my holster beat my CHL. Thought it would be the other way around. And yes, I played dress up in the house tonight, fits perfectly and feels great :

Lol, yeah. Once the updates start it goes pretty quick, I'm hoping for manufacturing tomorrow morning and then mailed on Friday. Then a Wally Walk next week.

BTW, what is this "Wally Walk" I keep seeing referenced in this forum?

You can Google it for more info but a "Wally Walk" is basically a right of passage for people who just obtained their conceal carry permit or conceal handgun permit, where the new CCP holder trys carrying his handgun concealed at Wal Mart for the first time. This means having the gun on you at all times, but concealed, as you get out of your car, walk into Wal Mart, shop for at least 30 minutes, use the restroom, buy something, check out and look for zombies to attack as you cross the Wal Mart parking lot to get back to your car. I have even seen maps with written instructions. Kinda funny stuff on one hand but also a real test of you CC clothing for the first time carry.
