This is just more "compromise" you liberals are touting. The only thing compromised is the Constitution and our rights.

I respectfully disagree, the "right of the people to keep and bear arms" comes from a divine right, a creator, and not from a 225 years old piece of parchment, nor a government office created by the same said piece of parchment.

Anybody think an EO would make people weary?

Bingo, the 2nd Amendment didn't *give us* this right. It *recognized* this right and put it into our official government documents.

That's a big Negative here...didn't vote for him, don't believe he is a citizen, don't recognize the title nor anything he feels he can force upon me. Blah Blah Blah, respect the office not the man....heard that one too, I am firm on this one, ain't happening. I don't think he is all that bright either, but I did give him more credit than trying to push AWB with an EO. I guess I was wrong. If a ban does come via EO I think he will lose a lot of his support. Even some that are for a ban, or restrictive measures don't want to live under dictator rule. I realize a lot of Eo's have been passed up until now but consider this, he executed an EO that stated in an emergency(natural or otherwise) the government assumes control over all supplies of food water and public transport, that coupled with a disarming of the populace only leads one place.
Not to derail, but his mother was a citizen, so he is too, unless he depatriotized.

I am starting to think that King Obie will use executive orders and start by banning imports first, anything that is not made in the US. Many manufacturers ship to the US and are actually imports, items such as Glocks come to mind. Maybe this is how we will get manufacturing jobs back, ship componants here and then have the assembly completed might be the only way around such an Executive Order.

What is sad is that I do not believe a single word that comes out of his administration as he has proven time and time again to show that his word means nothing and he is surrounded by puppets who does exactly what he says by pulling their strings. I believe this is going to get very ugly really fast....... I pray that I am wrong...............

If obama is threatening to push gun control via an EO, doesn't that signify that they don't have enough votes even from democrats to support such a thing?

If you read the full text of Mr. Lincoln's Inaugural Address, you will see that he believed in our government exactly the way the forefathers intended it to be. He saw the constitution as "perpetual." His entire address was centered around the Constitution and how what he wanted to accomplish was driven by it. The word "Constitution" was mentioned too many times to count.

For the record, in Mr. Obama's Inaugural Address, he mentioned the word "Constitution" exactly ZERO (0) [goose egg] times. Yep, hard to believe, coming from a former Professor of Constitutional Law. Here it is for reference: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/inaugural-address

I'm almost ashamed.
