I just game from GT's, Austin. I p/u a couple hundred rounds of 9mm... mostly practice ammo, and a 50 round box of duty as well. NO price gouging.

I completely agree. I have a lot of respect for GT. They are always fair and professional.

:iagree:

Saw some things in their store today that at other stores would be sold out (from hoarders/resellers/opportunists) or highly overpriced. Could've purchased these items and easily resold them for 2-3x the price in the current climate, but have too much respect for those folks to do that. And no I won't post publicly what the items were and encourage others to do this.

I hear that. What time of the day were you there? We might have crossed paths. Got there after lunch.

No luck in Victoria. Walmart has virtually nothing in stock....not even 22 LR. No 9mm, no .45 ACP

Academy has no bulk rifle or pistol ammo in any caliber. No 22 LR period. Didn't see anything except 22 shorts that came in more than a 20 round box. No 9mm, no .45 ACP. Some .38 special, .357 magnum, and some .380. They did have a reasonable amount of .303 British.

Victoria All Sports has no .223. They did have a few boxes of Chinese 7.62, $6 per 20, limit 5 per customer. They had some CCI standard velocity 22LR (3 or 4 boxes?), a scattering of other rifle ammo, and 50 round boxes of most common handgun ammo.

I was academy round rock earlier this week. They had 45, 9 and 40.

I'm hoping to find a different story next week at Cabela's in Buda.

There were 6 boxes of Winchester 9mm 115 grain 100 box of 100 at Academy in Webster today. Another guy picked up 4 boxes and left me 2. They still had 10-15 boxes of Speer Lawman 9mm Luger Ammo 124 Grain TMJ Box of 50. I went to a couple of Walmarts in the Houston area without any luck.

I was in GT again today and the cheap target ammo was gone.

EDIT:

I just came from walmart in Pflugerville. They had 10 or so boxes of 11.99 priced 9 and the same amount of tula for 9.99.... If I hadn't bought so much these past 2 days I'd have bought more but wife would then use it on me

If anyone in the San Antonio area is looking for 9mm ammo the Academy at loop 1604 and Potranco rd. had a ton of 9mm practice ammo (300 boxes tula and monarch FMJ) when I left the store at 6:30 PM today.

I ended up placing an order with Freedom Munitions. 500 will hopefully be enough to get me through the physical store shortages.
