That is no me. I was mikedude. I didn't want it known anymore that I was an LEO as I don't need the drama. It was easier to change names then argue. I NEVER said I supported roadside cavity searches nor am I texasheepdog. I also emailed the moderator to check the IP of texassheepdog as I believe they are a troll, and didn't want people thinking that was me. That was important enough to come out of my covert status.
Way to keep a secret!
Range Rule: "The front gate lock is not an acceptable target." Never Forget.

I earned that one ...but I didn't want what I perceive to be a troll causing drama and a further gap between LEO's and CHL holders.

I think it's lasted this long because it was a totally unnecessary, vile act perpetrated on two
women by folks that are supposed to be trusted. I also find it interesting how the members here
fall on one side of the line or the other. Food for thought. I found the voice track on the recording
fairly compelling. When at the scene, the woman stated that they did stick fingers in her orifices.
Not stated months later, but immediately after the fact. Was it a full on cavity
search? No. Was it a roadside sexual assault? I think so, and I think it was totally unjustified on
several levels. But, others have pointed out that since the ladies didn't "jump" or "wince" or were asked
to grasp their ankles etc ...then it was not a cavity search. I hope this thread stays at the top, because
I'm interested in knowing how, if anything, the DPS is going to handle this situation.
A lot of graphic detail. Is it needed? No, sue the state and the LEO's for aggravated sexual assault and move on. If the state chooses to hide behind its sovereign immunity, file a civil suit against the perps...and move on.

I commend you for coming forward - you sure did not have to.
I also do not want to see any gap between LEO's and U.S. Citizens.
I am also glad you decided to hang around on the Forum!

I truly did not mean to offend you or anyone else with the "graphic details". If you found that upsetting I'm sorry.
I feel certain that the 2 ladies involved feel the details are important. What the DPS does in response to the
allegations and/or pending civil suit continues to interest me. YMMV.
However, I am still interested in exactly how DPS is going to respond

Good! Now then, let's move on up the food chain and find who okayed this kind of unconstitutional search.
BTW, none of us were there and the complaint was filed a month (+/-) after the incident. There may have been grounds for a more thorough search BUT not under headlights on the side of the highway.

I don't think anybody ok'd it. I think the officer did that on her own. All for a joint
the article reads that the officer (not sure which one) has a long history of misconduct including inappropriate strip searches, cavity searches, etc.
this was a huge foul up on the part of those in charge, if that is the case. once an officer develops a pattern of this type of behavior it's time to pull them off the street and glue them to a desk chair.
