.40 has been more readily available this week around southeast Houston/Pasadena. Oh, and everything I've come accross in 9mm hasn't been upcharged either! I think we can pretty much relax & go about our business as usual now.

Looks like there's plenty of pistol ammo around, SGammo's stock level of the 9mm is up to 163 from 56 a day ago :confused5 . Looking for deals on .308 and haven't found any as yet.

I had only run a couple boxes through it and was planning on buying more after the Holidays (waiting to see if St. Nick dropped off any ammo... he didn't). Now, its after the holidays and everything seems to be sold out or really expensive. All I have is the 15+1 rounds in my G19 and thats it.

What stores still have it in stock and also are not way marked up (nothing over $0.50 a round)
The best price I usually see is a Federal 100 round box at Walmart for $19.97. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't....but the best chance of finding it is usually at the smaller stores. At not to bad a price, the local Walmart has UMC 250 rounds for $59.99, though they're currently out of the Federal 100 round box.

I'll double check our local WM. But it seems like there is always somebody different at that counter. Last time I went the gal couldn't even find 9mm, another customer spotted it. I bought 3 boxes, and I heard her talking to the other clerk there saying with a hint of amazement "So they can just come in and buy that much?"
You must be going to big city Walmarts. I bought a shotgun the other day and when the young clerk saw my CHL the conversation was all about what he had to do to get one himself. When I buy several boxes of ammo they ask if that's all.

Went to Wal Mart here in Rowlett today. The rude clerk (which I had to spend 10 minutes trying to find ) said they don't have 9mm. I asked if they would be getting any soon and he just replied "well we'll get it when we get it ok???" Geezus, calm down.
So I went to Dicks Sporting Goods in Firewheel, they too were out of 9mm.
Going to try the Wal Mark in Rockwall later today.

Natchez Shooters Supply sent me an add today with 9mm in stock. Prices aren't too bad.

I am in the Tucson, AZ area for the winter and none of the local Walmarts have any 9mm. I stumbled onto some at the Walmart in Green Valley this morning though. They had 100 round Winchester white box for $23. I bought 2 of them. They had several more. I may go back and get a couple more.

Academy in Lufkin had no 9mm on the shelves. After I bought my S&W M&P 9c, the guy behind the counter asked if I wanted any ammo to go with it. :???: :headscratch Not sure if they had some hidden or if he didn't know they were out!

Went to three Academy stores and 2 Walmarts. Only found Federal 115gr JHP. $17 for a box of 20 rds. I have plenty of self defense ammo. I need range ammo. None of them had any .22lr either. Can't even take my 22 out to play. :cryin :cryin

Stopped by Walmart yesterday. The only 9mm they had in stock was UMC 115gr. JHP at $26.97 for a box of 100 rounds. The sales clerk said that she had just put it out.

I think you think you are joking, but in fact you are correct. No magazines holding over 10 rounds are legal to buy, sell, own or possess unless you owned and possessed them in California before some magic date more than ten years ago. Get caught... no more guns forever. They will let a couple of rapists and robbers out to make room for you, though!
