I have said it before, Elite Sound and Security (entire business name for the benefit of search engines) in Texas City is the absolute worst place I have ever done firearm business with. They are local to me and I do my very best to tell everyone how terrible they are. I would not purchase a gun from them for half price if it was offered. The guy irritated me so much, I considered a one - man public demonstration on some nearby property owned by my family. He is a crook and please tell him Jason said so. :rolll

I went to Elite earlier this year and found the doors locked during business hours. I peeked in, saw three men at a counter and the was told, through the door, that they don't sell direct to the public. I interpreted that comment to mean "go away." Very weird experience, so needless to say I won't be attempting that again.

I've never been to their store, so I can't comment on that, but I have bought two pistols from them (FNP-40 and SIG Sauer P226 Elite in .357) at the GRB Center in Houston; I had no problem with service, and their price on each beat SAW and AJC. (I have bought from SAW, a Kimber SIS.)

The last time I was at GRB was Oct. 13, and I wasn't in buying mode because of a delayed sale. I saw a SIG Sauer P220 Elite ST Carry, which was on my list, but on the back end, and Bachman again had a better price than what I had seen elsewhere in the aisles.

I'm not at all saying the first poster was wrong (although I am disagreeing with the poster who said AJC and SAW had better prices); I just wanted to offer my experience in a different spot.

Thanks

You just responded to a 2 year old thread! Maybe they have improved since then?

I've always had good experince while there. Maybe I just look like I'm there to buy. Headed there today to pick up a couple of pistols. For the haters go to the big box stores to really be treated like crap and stand in line with all the other "just looking" goobers.

Bayllor wrote:I had a good experience with their gun show crew in Houston. Best price I've found on a new XD9SC. Haven't been to their store, but it sounds like a completely different experience. I recall the big guy folks always talk about and the amount of business their booth was getting kept him way too busy to talk. Probably a good thing.
They have some part time help at the gun shows. Only 1 or 2 of the full timers are there. I know a guy that works the shows for them.

[quote="prometheus"] found only one safe haven in my neck of the woods... Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills, its like the "Cheers" of gunstores, the small shop is always packed, ammo is resonably priced and plentiful(especially 5.56-.223), all of the people who work there are insanley friendly and helpful and I will never go anywhere else for my gun needs except for my reloading equipment I plan to buy, but I will buy all my supplies there, and if Mickey don't have it, I'm sure he will order it for me![quote="Prometheus"]

:iagree:

Love ammo depot, Tim is my go to guy!

No worse than anywhere else I have shopped at. I have bought several firearms this past year with great service every time, pricing was excellent to boot.

I had the pleasure of running into them at a gun show. The absolute rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Not just one of them either. A whole crew of rude people. This was about two years ago but I highly doubt it has changed. Prices were no better than any other dealer at the show. Defective gun policy is the same as every other gun shop in town. "We sold you a defective gun?? Send it to the manufacturers, I didn't build it."

Old post or not.... I would avoid these people at all costs!
