Re: Electoral Votes
/sigh
Are we, as a nation, strong enough to survive another 4 years?
I honestly don't know.
I'd like to think so. I look back and see we had political issues in the past that seemed difficult, but we survived. I don't know about this one though folks.
My opinion of my fellow citizens is not very high right about now.

Re: Electoral Votes
I think we might survive another four years (maybe) but not another 40. The die has been cast. When the takers outnumber the makers a society is done. See to your families now.

Re: Electoral Votes
Yes, it's time for a coalition of "The Southern States of America", (leaving out California) to take control of the Border with Mexico and control of the Gulf of Mexico.

I agree with Anygun here. However, its really hard to believe that there are so many of them. But then again you add in the stupid and the brainwashed people, as well as the illegals and there you have it. A country on the way down.

I'm just beside myself. I have two nephews, one that can vote and the other one year too young, that are glad the obamanation was re-elected. They didn't get this from their parents. My brother and SIL both voted for Romney. How do you folks with liberal relatives deal with this? I love them, but I don't know if I'll be able to speak to them again without loosing it.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

A co-worker and I have been discussing this election this morning and what we will be doing to try and deal with the infected pustules. I have relatives that voted for him too, and find it difficult to deal with. I do have a habit of saying what is on my mind. I know this is hard for all of you to fathom but it is true. My keeping my mouth shut at times will be a burden.
The reward for my own personal efforts will be when I hear someone complaining about whatever it is they complain about related to all things life has to offer, my response will be the question "Who did you vote for?' If I receive the answer "The infected pustule." then I will proceed to unload until my mind stops at slide lock.

Re: Electoral Votes
While Obama will serve his term and be gone in 2016, one wonders if the country has been lost to the morally bankrupt. The greatness of this country is truly on the edge, I didn't think it was possible, but we are here. Over the next 4 years the takers will increase, the producers income will decrease that will cause spending and debt to go through the roof, I believe the US version of Greece is not far away and we need to be prepared for an attack on the 2nd Amendment through executive orders.

George Bernard Shaw hit it on the head in his quote about the political process"
"Anyone who proposes to rob from Peter to pay Paul can always count on the undying support of Paul."
The art of politics is trading money, influence and favors for votes, power and authority

We may not all have the same outlook, I have been ridiculed by family members and coworkers for having the "self sufficient and survivalist mentality" but I am very comfortable about my fate over these next four years. My house is in order, I have no debt and have made preparations to the best of my abilities. The only thing I can do now is sit back and trust that God sees us through this time to our benefit. Now will be the time when the takers will not be able to take because the makers won't be able to keep up....To everyone that lives paycheck to paycheck and finances everything, my heart goes out to them. This will be indeed a time where their faith and will is tried. I remain optimistic, because I think the powers that be have failed to take into account the nature of the average American's spirit and will power. We as a nation have overcome worse, and this too shall pass. Chin up.

Re: Electoral Votes
I spent a little over 20 years serving this nation in . I changed duty stations every few years for our Uncle Sam. I didn't really live anywhere that was worth buying a home in that time. I spent two years getting my certifications so that my military knowledge and skills would translate to a civilian sector job. I have only recently found employment and that fairly far from home. Many of my fellow veterans and servicemembers are in the same boat as me. I sure am glad YOU can be optimistic...but I guarantee you that what seems to be a smug attitude isn't shared by many.jdhz28 wrote:Salty1 wrote:While Obama will serve his term and be gone in 2016, one wonders if the country has been lost to the morally bankrupt.
