ALL TALK!

#1

Post by polisci »

For the better part of my life, I've heard "Patriots" talk about defending America from tyrants.. Huh, bull! From what I know of Americans, they are generally spineless and cowering. I'd bet my left one, that if the time should come, all these Cowboys and freedom fighters would run like a bunch of twelve year old schoolgirls. Without an orderly plan of defense against the tyrants, somebody tell me how that works. If there is no "signal", how do all the "patriots" know when to start defending? Cause I don't think it'll be like war of the worlds when you definitely know when its time, no. It will be gradual, and by time we all make the big decision to step up, guess what? yep, we're screwed. Too late.. A pipe dream.. We're sheep now. Get use to it..

Perhaps you should find some new friends. Your comment does not speak of the Americans I know.

That is all.......... :patriot:

All I can assume is that the OP is a liberal and all his friends think like he does...... They are pro 2nd amendment but will be the first to turn in their firearms when a liberal political system tells them to do so...

So, you are suggesting the need for a command structure and communications. Your associates will shut down the internet and phone systems.....they cannot stop radio communications.

This will all be worked out by CB/HF radio when the time comes. Get your handheld units now!

Oh,.........and plenty of ammo! Better buy in the next few days (before the Election) in case your "The One" manages to pad the votes (Steal the Election by fraudulent means).

Which, BTW.....will be "The Beginning".

Not that I agree with our friend here, but he has a bit of a point. Many of our freedoms have already been slowly eroded away since the Civil War by our lawmakers and courts. They thought keeping guns out of the hands of the newly freed slaves was a good thing. They just didn't think those laws would eventually be used against everyone else. Our courts also continue to rule against more people than not when it comes to eminent domain issues. What the government wants, the government usually gets even if they have to condemn your property to get it.

The latest tactic wasn't to go directly after our guns, but to do an end around and get sympathy by saying they gotta close the loopholes because people are selling guns illegally to the Mexican drug lords. Then there's the whole UN small arms thing.

The other and more likely way is to tax guns and ammunition so much that it will become too expensive. Someone else in another thread likened this method to what we have tried to do with cigarettes. Exactly! Those that want our guns are not thinking about how to take them away from us. They are thinking long term and how to convince us that we don't need them.

I am not sure who you are or where you are coming from... frankly, I do not care. That is a blanket statement about Americans being spineless and cowering. You should first look yourself in the mirror and determine if YOU, my friend, are in that category?

I believe that the same spirit that made 186 men cross that line in the sand in San Antonio at the Alamo in 1836, is still in us today. I am here as a FREE man and I will do everything I can to protect and defend my Freedom and my Liberties.

As Bum Phillips wrote --

"When William Barrettt Travis wrote in 1836 that he would never surrender and he would have Victory or Death, what he was really saying was that he and his men were forged of a hotter fire. They weren't your average everyday men. Well, that is what it means to be a Texan. It meant it then, and that's why it means it today. It means just what all those people North of the Red River accuse us of thinking it means. It means there's no mountain that we can't climb. It means that we can swim the Gulf in the winter. It means that Earl Campbell ran harder and Houston is bigger and Dallas is richer and Alpine is hotter and Stevie Ray was smoother and God vacations in Texas. It means that come *Heck*or high water, when the chips are down and the Good Lord is watching, we're Texans by *darned*, and just like in 1836, that counts for something."

I personally know many of my friends that feel the same! Most of those on this forum feel the same way!

Most of your few posts are like this. Your recent boxcar posts is another example.

Stop now; TexasCHLforum isn't the place for this stuff. We want serious, real-world discussions.

I'd have to call you a mouthy individual that hides behind a monitor calling everyone else a coward.
I've severed my county (as many here have) am former LE (as many here are or are currently LE), carry a CCW daily and am prepared to use it if need be to protect mine or others.

To make such flamboyant baseless comments shows an immaturity my teenage son would have never done.
If you're suggesting a revolution let me explain the logical order of event young fool.
Soap Box
Ballot Box
Bullet Box
Coffin if need be.

Let's not get ahead of the curve.
Only someone that has never been in a situation where bullets are flying makes a rush to judgment about just how fast we should get to that point. When bullets fly, people die!
It's not something you leap towards in a knee jerk tantrum young lad.

Stand brave and upright that the Lord may love thee.
Speak the truth always even if it means your death.

AMEN! My family has survived the Norman invasion of England, the first twenty years of Jamestown, the American Revolution, the war for Texan independence, the civil war, reconstruction, the depression, WW2, and many many other "small" events through the centuries. My uncle was Daniel Cloud, he gave his life at the alamo, so my kids can be free. You don't throw bullets until there is no other options, but you have to guts and gumption and the will to survive and survive with as much freedom as possible. Me and mine are not going to let the line end because we have a debt problem and a few too many socialist running about.

I live in VA now, BTW and there are many natives from VA that feel the same as I.

Edited to add that clarity. My great great great uncle.....my grandmothers great uncle.

The OP wasn't completely wrong. I think he may be right about the average person. What he is ignoring is that out of the millions there are plenty who have drawn a line in the sand. Once it starts it will quickly grow.

A guy named John Ross wrote a book called "Unintentional Consequence". Starts a bit dull but bcomes a very good read. Almost lays out a possible blue print of how it could happen, and started by a few. (Actually a few ATF agents, the rest was retribution.)
