Re: NRA Courses??
I didn't see any Basic Pistol Instructor classes listed on The Trainer's Group's schedule even into January. I need to call and see if any may be added.

Re: NRA Courses??
Jan does not have any Pistol Instructor classes planned currently. But I did certainly enjoy talking to him. He said if they do offer any classes later, they will be posted on the Grand Prairie Gun Club's website. Dan is not planning a class until January, but he has had requests for a class before then, so he is considering how to schedule that in.

Re: NRA Courses??
If any of you folks are still looking for a TC somewhere in DFW, specially somewhere south of Dallas ...
I'd like to suggest Mike Dikovitsky who is the TC who owns and manages US Small Arms Training School based in Red Oak, TX.
The company's Facebook photos page is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/US-Small- ... tos_stream Mike also has a page with a bunch more photos of him, their classes and students here: http://www.facebook.com/whitefeather.cherokee/photos
The company's website is very dull by comparison: http://www.USSmallArms.com aka http://www.HDBoar.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
I chose to do my NRA training and instructor courses with him - he's a very experienced TC and it helps that he's a nice guy as well.
They just ran an NRA Basic Pistol instructor class a couple of weeks ago, but I'm sure he'll help if he can. I don't get any commission or anything but if you do contact him let him know Kyle Kutach sent you.
You can reach him via Facebook or:

Re: NRA Courses??
Ok, so I am back into looking at NRA courses and even the NRA website doesn't give an option for the BIT (Basic instructor Course). I have seen that some of the place offer it in addition to their class but I would like to take them one at a time. Not sure I want the $250 Pistol course and the $100 BIT course at the same time. Anybody know anything about this?

Re: NRA Courses??
When you search the NRA courses you will see under description or
sometimes in the course information “This is a BIT course” This usually means the BIT is included as part of the course. It is usually the first part or can be taught consecutively
with another course. Just call the TC and ask. Each one I have talked with has been very
informative and has wanted to help you in any way possible.
Good Luck
Ok, after I wrote this I realized you said NRA classes not NRA Instructor classes.
If they are not Instructor classes you do not need the BIT. Be advised if you decide
to become an instructor you will have to take the class again.
