Forgive me for being nosey, but why the sudden urgency for a tomcat? Also I'd be interested in your impression of it once you get it. We looked seriously at one for my wife because of her severe arthritis, but eventually decided on the Walther PK380.

Same reason, elderly lady with severe arthritis.

i've shot plenty of rounds through both the PK380 and the tomcat. speaking strictly from a reliability standpoint, i'll never touch another PK380 again.

the tomcats i've fired have never given me a single issue. easy to manipulate and so little recoil that i was laughing after the first mag.

my mom and i both bought PL380s when we got our CHLs because they were easy to manipulate and had great ergonomics. unfortunately, they were both jam machines.

Did you find out if your buddy wanted to sell his? I hate to go to gunbroker to get one.

Thanks,
George

Would she consider trying a Sig P238? I have had both. The beretta was a beast compared to the P238. Top loading the beretta was nice but it does have significantly more recoil in spite of possesing a heavier frame. Racking the slide on the P238 may be managable for her, if that is a concern. It is smooth and not difficult.
