Cultures did not grow. She is getting better, but still runs a low grade temperature at night. She is real weak and becomes fatigued easy. Doctor appointments on Tuesday.

I'm not terribly surprised about the cultures. Viruses don't really grow on blood culture media and usually have to be identified by DNA or RNA. I was doing a little research on WNF vs. WNV. It seems that there are many different genus' and species' of mosquitoes that can carry and transmit WNV, but have widely varying degrees of effectiveness with some only causing the symptoms and not being very deadly. What I didn't figure out, though, is if there really are different strains of the virus that are less virulent and only cause WNF instead of WNV.
Either way, I'm very glad your wife is getting better.
