I doubt even professional damage control could help at this point. His best bet is to [shut up] and hope people forget. Unfortunately for him, gun owners have long memories.

First of all you have already broken forum rules in only your 2nd post. Secondly, I would be willing to bet you are a troll.Dadrulesathome wrote:You guys need to chill out, he regrets saying what he did, and has openly expressed his apology
They are a good group trying to make a living selling guns, WE need all the friends we can ge. Quit being an Internet asshole nitpicking baby.

And you are a know it all that just wants to pick at everything in life to the nth degree
I don't care what you think of me for defending them.
All I do see is a bunch of blowhards picking on someone else that You have NO IDEA WHAT IS COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!! BUT HOT AIR
You can critisize him? But can't take it yourself?

I suspect that he is somehow associated with tactical firearms based on the two posts. I also suspect that his IP address will resolve to an ISP that serves the Katy area.jmra wrote:First of all you have already broken forum rules in only your 2nd post. How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Its the personal attacks that will catch the mods attention pretty fast. Just relax and participate in a civilized discussion, thats why most of us are here. Additionally it's poor form to edit quoted text such as changing troll to mole.

Learning to do this on phone screws up sometimes
2 Every one over these posts is an attack or a criticism about that man, IS IT NOT????
I CAN'T STAND looking at all these with not a single person defending him???!!!
They better not kick me out for that because I ruffled feathers?
Is this a child's forum???
Besides i don't even know what a troll, or mole is
Im just sick of uninformed people who think theyvknow it all saying a bunch of (DELETED) it is all OPINIONS, No facts involved here
Am I not correct?

No it makes us have to edit more of the post. Report the member by clicking the explanation mark in the bottom right of the post. (!)Hector wrote:When you guys quote his foul language, it doesn't help much for the moderators to delete his post.

The mole/troll thing was my fault. I changed it right after posting but apparently he was responding at the same time I was editing.

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
First point, criticism is not an attack, some folks were very irritated about what he said and they voiced their reaction to it. If you go on the radio representing the business you own to talk about a political issue then you are opening yourself up for criticism.
Second point Defend him, but please do so in a civil nature. Your second post in another thread was a blatant personal attack (Telling someone that they are an idiot because they do not like a business). You want to see someone defend him, then please feel free to do so but respect the rules and please be civil.
Third point, IF the mods/admin choose to ban you it will be their decision to do so because you broke the rules intended to keep the discussion civil. As for "they better not", I seriously doubt you have any real recourse to their decision.
Fourth point, no its not a childs forum because there are rules and the discussion is kept civil.
Finally, Try doing an internet search for troll you will quickly get the idea. Also JMRA pointed out that he edited his post so I apologize for thinking and stating that you edited his quote.

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
Based on the 2 posts no i am not affiliated with them
Because Im in Katy? Not to CSI there
I moved here from Denver last year, As far as defending someone! I have more respect for someone who contacts him ( as I did) informed him what I thought about what he said over the radio, listened to what he had to say, and went on with life instead of going on a anonymous forum and bad mouthing him and feeding each other about how bad he is
Yes I like the group they do a good job and they are professional and have good ethics

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
Dad, I don't mind if you defend someone. I don't mind if you are Mr. Tactical Firearms. I hope that you don't mind if we choose where we buy our ammunition from. However, some members do let their children read this forum.
The best thing for Tactical Firearms might end up being a total name change. Companies that get bad reputations sometimes have to do that to try and rehabilitate their business. Sometimes it makes people think they are under new management. Otherwise, he'll just have to wait and hope people forget or get desperate. He may also have to take a loss for a while and start selling something, ammo or guns or whatever, at a loss until business picks up again.

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
It's interesting - guess "ethics" means different things to different folks....
Both my son and myself contacted Jeremy via Facebook in an attempt to clarify the intent of his remarks. I even commented on another board that we (the gun community) really needed to give him a chance to do so before jumping to conclusions.....until he posted my son's personal info on his FB page so that others could contact my son directly. That information was private, visible only to folks my son "friended", and he trusted that Jeremy would use that information for getting back in touch with my son.
Now, my son is a LEO - so seeing his personal info out there was a MAJOR concern. The second I saw it, I flagged it to FB, explaining the concern, and they immediately removed that information. Jeremy has NEVER contacted my son to apologize for that - and yeah, that tells me a LOT about the ethics of he and his business.
I was in Houston last week, and was sorely tempted to go by and see if Jeremy was in, to give him the opportunity to explain himself in person. I opted not to, because based on the posts he's made on various websites around the country, he was going to get mouthy, and things wouldn't have ended well for either of us - and nothing would have been resolved.
Consequently, I'm going to avoid his place, and encourage others to do the same. IMO, he's simply out for #1, with little to no regard to others.

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
I don't have a dog in this fight, so I will try to write an unbiased review of Tactical Firearms. Disclaimer...I live in Katy, have shot several times at Tactical firearms (not a member), and I have absolutely NO connection with the business or any employees/owners. I am a native of Harris County and shot at most public ranges in the Houston area.
PROS:
It is arguable the finest indoor range in Houston. State of the art, "bullet proof" glass between the shooting positions.
They have many employees to help you and they appear to be knowledgeable.
You can bring multiple firearms up to and including 50 BMG for one range fee.
You can shoot your slide fire stock AR there.
You can vary the light on the target to mimic dusk conditions.
They allow outside CHL Instructors to qualify their students for just the normal range fee.
You can reserve ranges if you guarantee them with a credit card. (great for an instructor to plan class time)
Great selection of self defense/tactical firearms.
CONS:
Range fee is a little steep if you are bringing just one gun.
TOO many employees.
The Range Officers tend to stand behind you and watch you shoot. (I've only gone on week days and maybe they were just bored)
You can't pick up your own brass.
Your 1 hour starts as soon as you pay for the lane.
Gun prices can't compete with Buds or even Academy.
They don't sell hunting type firearms (Remington Model 870 type shotguns or deer rifle type rifles)
This owner has dumped a ton on money on this place and s(he) is still dumping money. They are adding on another building that will have an indoor skeet range and (I heard) a tactical shoot house. The business has many pluses and I would hate to see it fail because the owner said something stupid. The owner obviously is a supporter of gun rights/shooting sports because (s)he has probably invested a large chunk of their assets in this gamble. I for one will support it.

The owner supports gun rights and shooting sports as long as they are padding his pocketbook. As evidenced by his statements about online ammo sales, he has no problems throwing other firearms businesses and gun owners to the legislative wolves...as long as it doesn't hurt his financial health.
They will never see a dime of my money.
