For good quality, but relatively inexpensive, mags I go with Colts. Have a look at CDNN.

Here's my recommendations:
Tripp Cobra Mags. Not the cheapest, but the best:

I will also recommend to you that you stay away from 8 round .45 magazines as they do not work well in all 1911's.
The Tripp 7 round mags for both the Govt./Commander and also 7 rounders for the Officers/Compacts work extremely well in most 1911's.
2nd best in my opinion is Wilson Combat, but I sold the 8 rounders I had in favor of the 7 round Tripp Cobra's.

You may want to post this on the 1911 forum. I own an Ed Brown Kobra. As much as I love EB parts, I prefer Wilson Combat magazines.
