There's a post with test patterns of several buckshot brands & loads here on the forum. I did a search but couldn't find it. Maybe someone smarter than me can find it.

Be sure to remove the magazine plug from the Maverick so it becomes a 5 shot magazine.

Really what I would love would be a mechanical combination breech lock. Like a combination of
http://www.shotlock.com/Details.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and
http://www.gunvault.com/gun-locks/breechvault-1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is there anything out there like that? The reason I would prefer the "click" type combination is that its quicker than trying to do a combination with the typical tumbler type combo locks. The Shotlock is too expensive for me and also the wife as struck down "mounting" it to the wall next to the bed. It must be out of sight and un-usable by children. Those are her two requirements. My requirements are for it to be able to be accessed quickly and easily in the middle of the night without leaving the bedside. Theft is not a concern at this time.

Top of my list for "easy" solutions that don't cost of $140 right now is this one:
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-PLGL650KD" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The Pro-Lock Instant access lock. It can be used for instant access with a special button sequence, locked with a key (disabling the buttons), and also breech cable locked as well.
Any reasons not to get the Pro-lok?
