Re: Introduce yourself
Hi everybody.
46 years old, male, former USAR and former Army Brat. Born in Oklahoma and still have family there, grew up in Texas, Germany, Kentucky, and Texas again (since 1979 with no plans to leave this time). Dad went through Helicopter School here in the 60's, was an instructor here for a while, and retired as a CW4 and moved here when I was thirteen.
I had been wanting a CHL since Texas started allowing it, but finances and other considerations got in the way so only just got it last month. My wife also went to the class, but her license seems to be moving slower through the system.
I have a G19 and a Kahr K9 for carry, but still waiting on my holster for the K9 so the G19 has been a companion for the last couple weeks. I plan to EDC the K9 as soon as I Mr. Theis and the mailman finish their work.
My screen name comes from my initials, I tried jag once but people thought I was a lawyer and had to change it.

Carry a Sig P238 in a Tucker holster with 7 Critical Defenses and THUNDER and LIGHTNING! <------More commonly known as my right and left fist!
Was a range coach for a yr while in Yuma Az. We had more rifle quals than pistol since mostly SNCOs carried pistols. I'm more of a rifle guy, because of that, but can hold my own with a pistol ON GOOD DAYS (emphasis on GOOD DAYS).

Re: Introduce yourself
I'm almost 40, male. I am an engineer. I live and work in the Houston area. I am married, have two kids in elementary school, a doberman pinscher (blue), and a couple of cats. The doberman is a giant clown. Life is good. I love firearms and spend lots of my time reading online and watching videos about pistols. I drive my wife crazy with that.
My CHL plastic arrived in the mail 7-23. I discovered this forum about a year ago and have been reading here and on other forums as well as I have been preparing myself for CHL, picking out pistols for carry and home defense and range use. I actively became interested in the shooting sports about 6 years ago.

Re: Introduce yourself
Well I guess I should introduce myself. I am ftak & I am a god, guys,& gun type. I don't talk much about myself for I am a single dad & a very consistant involved dad at that. I am from small town east Tx & believe in honesty & respect. I come off as shrude fellow but I am not I just don't do much outside of my family. My kids are older now so I have more time on my hands. I have a passion for guns & promote & practice safety . In time I will talk more so nice to meet you & until next time gnight

Re: Introduce yourself
I am ftak 41 years old & I left some things out of my introduction. I am a Texan & my family have been in Texas since it was a part of Mexico. My parents have been trying to get me to join the Sons of the Republic of Texas for sometime for they have done the geneology & I will soon I guess. I am single & have been for years. I chose to remain that way while I am raising my daughters,I don't need the drama or competing time with my girls. I enjoy the outdoors & stay very active with bike riding shooting & water sports or jet skis anyway. To much info perhaps but I will talk guns. I have had my CHL for 3yrs I always kept one in my car so I went ahead & made it legal. I carry a Sig220 compact with night sights & a Sig229 but not at the same time of course. I think its important to be proficient with all your weapons not just one, i prefer the 45 cal for the stopping power but the trade off is single stack mags 8+1 as opposed to the 9 mm holds 15+1. I always considered handguns secondary to get me to my rifle. That's the short version of me and it's nice to meat yall
