Maine Man arrested

#1

Post by howdy »

I saw on Houston's KHOU news last night that a man in Maine had been arrested as a possible terrorist by a State Trooper. He had an AK-47 and 4 handguns and several boxes of ammo in his car. They also found several more guns at his house and more bullets. They had them all displayed for the media to see. He really didn't appear to have that many. I can't find anything written about this. If he was arrested just for having these guns in his car, alot of us might share the same fate if stopped for a traffic infraction. My family farm is one of the few places I can shoot some of my guns, and I routinely carry several when I go there. Maybe this guy broke some law in Maine? Anyone seen this article?

I think Maine or Mass has a funny law about transporting firearms.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

pulled over for speeding Sunday morning. Timothy Courtois told police he was on his way to Derry, New Hampshire to shoot a former employer
One or one hundred, the number of guns they found is irrelevant. It was his intent. The liberal media is just using the "cache" to attempt to make a point.

Thanks for the response. It does sound a little strange.

Mass (Ma.) is the bad one. Maine (Me.) is fairly open minded yet. Just can't have a loaded gun in the car unless you have a concealed carry permit. Rifles and shotguns all must be unloaded during transport.
The guy in this instance told the officer that he was going to commit a crime! Definitely something wrong in the story. There are some other little details reported that don't make sense. i.e. Going to NH for a Concealed Carry permit on a Sunday. Supposedly there was a Full auto weapon found in his home! Sounds like a good arrest based on the info reported.
