Non-compliant "30.60" sign. Hmmmm - letter of law or obvious but typo-deficient intent.

I am not familiar with Ford Park. Is it otherwise permissible?

It seems that Ford Park is privately owned.

at one time it was owned by Jefferson County but I no longer think that is the case.

Ford park has different things going there all the time, from Monster truck shows, wrestling, livestock shows to concerts.

My comment was about 30.06 postings on government-owned property. If this venue has professional sporting events, then it would depend on that particular event.

I think Ford Park is owned by Jefferson County and is contractor operated by SMG. The exhibit and arena building with all of the 30.60 signs also has a 51% TABC sign posted on the lobby bulletin board which probably makes it the largest county owned beer joint in Texas. There was also an inappropriate sign on the entry gate during the Southeast Texas State Fair prohibiting weapons under Federal property law.

Thanks Keith, I did not check TABC. Since Ford Park is not CHL friendly, have not been there in a while. Dave

Ford Park (owned by Jefferson County) was once home for a professional ice hockey team, but I cant think of a legit reason for it to currently post a 30.06 notice. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

They didn't post it with 30.06 signs, they posted it with 30.60 signs. Look a little closer at the photo. LOL

I saw that  , but I was trying to change the subject so "yall" wouldnt think "us-uns" here in Jeff County was "ig-nunt" & "un-edge-umakated" :biggrinjester:

Kidding aside, I would like some input as to the legitimacy of 30.06 at Ford Park. I dont see how an occasional Pro Rodeo could justify a permanent 30.06.

30.06 is not valid unless it is a meeting of a government entity. The rodeo doesn't have to have a sign at all as it is already off limits per statutes.
