Google is officially anti-firearms

Long story short: You will no longer be able to search firearms or firearms parts in Google shopping. I won't support a business with that sort of policy, so someone recommend me a new search engine.

I'll believe it when I see it. I was searching for XDm magazines just yesterday, and I had no difficulty finding what I wanted.

PROOF (I just did this search a second ago): https://www.google.com/#q=xdm+45+compac ... 05&bih=804

Notice, it is not being completely implemented until the Fall. I can still get them on my searches, but other people on different servers cannot.

Here is the discussion about it that led me to it. I was skeptical at first myself...

TAM, if you'd read the link you would have seen:
The service will now be known as Google Shopping and will be a purely commercial product and the transition is to be completed by Fall 2012.

I've been using duckduckgo.com

Also go there and read about internet "bubbles" that tailor (modify) your search results in engines such as google.

I edited my original post while you were posting this one, to say "I'll believe it when I see it." I think Google stands to lose too much advertising revenue. Furthermore, I'd be surprised if that wasn't challenged in court......on what grounds, I don't know (I'm not a lawyer), but there has to be something. For instance, their policy says "We've created this policy to comply with legal regulations." What legal regulations? There are no such regulations or American Rifleman wouldn't be able to sell such advertising. So that is bull. Also, all it would take is for one other search engine that has been struggling to compete with Google to announce that they will not discriminate in their advertising policy, and they could win the business of a large number of America's gun owners away from Google.

In the end, it could happen I suppose, but I think the blowback when they initiate it would be so severe that they would regret it. It's not just people refusing to use their search engine and the lost advertising revenues that represents. Right now, I have google mail handle all my business domain emails. I pay for that service. So do many thousands of other small business customers. I would drop the service, and so would many others because Google isn't the only company that can provide that service. In fact, I can just go back to having my own mail server process my email. Think of the lost sales of Android OS phones and tablets.

Take a look again at the Texags link I posted discussing it. There are screenshots on there now. It is apparently happening.

XDm magazines

I google shopped them yesterday evening too
Found the cheapest place, (I think)
Springfield Mag 45 ACP 13Rd Stainless XD XD4545 SKU-MGSPXD4545 $27.97 USD each
Ordered three 13 round XD/M mags for my XD45 from Sportsmans Depot in Grand Prairie TX, and got them (FedEx-cheapest way) and filled them with ammo already (before 10 am) Surprised how fast they got here https://www.sportsmans-depot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Google is a very left wing fanatic in their organization. I quit using them long ago. I use Yahoo search even though they seem to lean left also.

They all do. It's like watching TV network news. About 90% of the time, you're hearing the mouthpiece of the democrat party. You either put up with it, or you stop using search engines entirely.

I've been using Dogpile.com for years. I'm not sure what a 'Meta Engine" is but Dogpile takes your quiery and puts it on all the search engines and runs it.

I guess that's what Meta Engine means??? :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA:
