Who Shot Susie?

Post by 5thGenTexan »

:mad5 :banghead: This really torques my jaw. Happened 1.5 miles up the road from us. Only a true idiot would shoot a dog yapping through a half brick opening, hope the $7000 reward gets him caught before he hurts someones kid with a through and through. Yorkie is not much mass to stop even a small cal round. Lots of kids in the area and just up the street from the neighborhood water park.

Disgusts me when this kind of stuff happens. People like this are why I call the cops a couple of times a month. You never know when that out of place car or person will be the one tha is twisted or evil or just plain mean.

That is just disgusting. IF they had a problem with the dog barking, why didn't they go talk to the owner about it? Because it was either that, or they just wanted to shoot the dog for pure meanness. Either way, I hope whoever did it gets caught and gets a little jail time to help them think about how lousy a thing to do this really was...

That really makes me :mad5 . I hope they find the shooter and charge him or her. If someone is willing to kill a family pet, there is no telling what else that person may be willing to do.

I have a neighbor that doesn't much like my dog either. Actually he doesn't like any of our dogs or kids for that matter. Out of the 9 houses around me, he's the only house without a dog. There is one dog that is a yappy dog (bugs us all) but for the most part the rest of our pets are well trained. Mine will let out bark or two when someone is close to her fence otherwise she is very quiet that is to say as long as you are not in her backyard unauthorized.

This neighbor doesn't talk to anyone. When I've been on poo removal duty, I've found an empty chemical bottle in my backyard once or twice. My neighbors said they have too. We all suspect it's him but none of us have seen him. We don't actually think he's trying to kill the dogs but we wouldn't put it past him to make them sick. In recent months, I've started working from home 100% of the time. When I hear him moving around outside I try to keep an eye on him. Oddly enough none of us have seen a bottle in our backyards ever since.

I hope I can catch him so I can report him.

The 9 year old granddaughter rule prevents me from calling the piece of garbage that did this what I want to call them. Suffice it to say Karma is still in effect.

This kind of conduct isn't that unusual. Our son's mi nature schnauzer, who is admittedly somewhat of a barker, was shot in the mouth by a pellet gun inside his own yard. The shooter stuck the gun through a hole in the fence and shot the dog in the mouth, knocking out his lower left canine tooth and lodging the pellet in his jaw. $1,000 of vet bills later, the dog was OK

The blood trail from the incident, which animal control saw in person, could only be reached from one back yard on the opposite street. Animal control questioned the homeowner who denied owning any type of pellet gun. No attempt was made to take the case any further.

I cannot see our son's dog (who is now 11 years old) and his missing tooth and thinking about the jerk who did it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Susie and hope they find the creep responsible.

This one will make regular people burn. I have no tolerance for animal abuse, and I will protect 'em like my family. Which, after Hurricane Katrina, they are.
