Joined the wait almost a month ago and just stumbled upon these boards. Been wearing my gun around the house to get used to it, reading up on penal code, and pretty much anything else I can occupy my idle time with so that I don't constantly check on my status.

Status so far:

24 April 2012 Packet mailed
30 April 2012 DPS received packet
16 May 2012 Background check: under review

Hopefully it wont get stuck there
