Red sign but no info on TABC

#1

Post by whitewolfz30 »

I went to a restaurant the other day that had the "red" sign posted at the door as you walk in. It confused me since it is a restaurant, but, they do have a bar inside. I went on the TABC from a link here on the forum but when I put in the info, I get ***No Records Found***. Any ideas? Just trying to find out if they are actually 51% or not.

I have found that sometimes the TABC database can be finicky. Try searching with a few wildcards. Also the business name on the sign might be different than on the license, such as a corporate name. I think you can do a search by area too.

I'll try some other searches. I got the info directly off the business' website as far as name, owner, address, etc.

Also, try to use only part of the word of the name, like Outback Steakhouse, just type in Outback, or Joe's Crab Shack, just type in Joe (as if it is spelled Joe's or Joes and you put the wrong one, it will not be found.)

Wow. Ok. Thanks for that. Don't know why I couldn't find it. That's good info. They had a red sign posted when I went there the other day. I actually left and didn't give them my business because of it, but later I wondered about it since it seemed like it would be a blue sign establishment. Thanks again.

Sometimes I search, get nothing by name, but get a hit by address ... and learn they used another name than the Corp name
