Like what? Bank robbery is a federal offense and he will serve time in a federal prison. It sounds like they may be putting him close to family since it is a minimum security prison.

I mean the sentence seems a bit light, 41 months for bank robbery ...

Comparing

46 months in prison for embezzlement, misusing a customer’s debit card

And this one not sentenced yet- check counterfeiting

Attempted. Never got it done. Maybe that's why. ;-)

Does sound like there may have been extenuating circumstances and he got a light sentence.

well .. it was completed, rather than inchoate .. only they said "attempted" because he got caught later nearby
On Dec. 8, Azaryan gave a bank teller a note that read: “This is a robery give my all the money.”

The teller gave Azaryan a bag with money in it, and he left.

The teller told the police officer, who followed Azaryan out of the bank and arrested him nearby.

e faced a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Perhaps jury/judge pitied the guy for some reason, maybe so he can help someone campaign 4 years from now ... :headscratch

I'm in favor of giving illegals a one way bus ticket to California.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
