The first and only folding stock adapter compatible with AR platform rifles. The Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter works with direct impingement or gas piston systems and fits any A2, carbine, mil spec or commercial buffer tube and stock. It can be used with standard bolt carrier groups including: full auto, semi auto, 5.56 to .308.

The Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter was designed for deployment by vehicle and aircrews and is ideal for low profile transport of AR rifles in non-permissive environments. The adaptor is ideal for any situation that requires a smaller profile weapon. Simple one-button release folds the stock. To engage, just unfold and fire. The stock automatically locks into place, requiring no fine motor skills.

Designed, built and assembled in the USA from CNC machined, hard-anodized aluminum.

The adaptor does not affect gun function unfolded. The rear portion of the adapter is built to the same specifications as a standard receiver to ensure maximum compatibility. An integrated single point sling attachment point is included.

The gun can't be fired with the stock folded because the buffer spring is captured in the folded part, but otherwise it seems like a pretty good idea if you want to make the gun easy to conceal in the back of your car and you don't necessarily want an SBR (although you could make an SBR truly tiny as in the above pictures), and it only adds 1.3" to the LOP and 6 oz of weight to the rifle. I think I'm going to get one for me and one for my wife.

Well, I am a big fan of folding stocks on rifles .....but if you can't fire it while folded....meh.

A weakness of the AR platform, but still, it is pretty cool.

If nothing else you could set up an alright AR-18 clone with it. It is intriguing and brings something to the platform that its been sorely lacking without tax stamps (portable covert carrying options) but not being able to shoot folded just bugs me.

This would be great on a .22 AR. No receiver extension/buffer needed so it would function and fire while folded.

Yeah, that would be a concern of mine. Is it rugged? Only one way to find out.

I think I'd rather save up for a SCAR or ACR. It just doesn't look quite right. Also the fact you can't fire from a folded position makes this worth questionable. Why not just seperate your upper and lower receiver if you need the room?

Charging handle makes it impossible to put a cheek riser on an AR but it also doesn't reciprocate. There are no solutions only trade offs

Because unfolding the stock takes 1 second. Reassembling the rifle takes 20 seconds.

1) Can you fire the rifle when folded?
2) If you can, will the operator be able to bring the rifle back to operating condition quickly?

Well their website says, "...not intended to be fired when folded." The buffer spring and plug are captured by the folded stock. I don't see anything in the kit that would keep it from being fired if the stock were folded and the gun was cocked and loaded....such as, load the gun, safe it, fold the stock, unsafe the gun, and fire it......but I hate to think what would happen to the BCG and the rear of the receiver under recoil without the buffer system to absorb the impulse.

My only concern is that a discharge like that should NOT render the weapon inoperable. If it doesn't, then I think it's a great idea
