Nope :waiting: :waiting:

I have put it in my head that I am going to have to call next week after my 60 days runs on Monday. I still check daily but not with any anticipation, but prepared for disappointment. :cryin I think this year's record is 81 days, hope I don't break it. :mad5

I know it sounds like I am being patient, :waiting: but it sure is extremely frustrating to see people that have mailed their packets and gone to manufacturing all in the time that I have been in background review. :mad5 :mad5 :mad5 I know they have 60 days to complete, but why does it have to take so long for some and than others just fly through. :banghead: :banghead: Isn't there a supervisor watching the desks to make sure things are moving along in timely manner :mad5 Ok, I'm done for now, thanks for listening. :grumble

I decided to call them as I am at day 56 of my process and a very nice gentleman answered the phone and told me that it appears that everything is fine with my application and that I have 4 days left on my time and that it would be printed up and sent out at that time. :banghead: Why do they have to wait the full 60 days. He said there really was no special calculations that some people go through fast and some wait the full 60 day time span. I didn't want to make them mad and cause them to hold it a while longer so I just said okay and thank you very much.

Maybe I will see some movement soon.

Well, at least there's only 4 days left for you. That is curious that you have to wait the full 60days though.

Hey Tbutcher,

Sounds like a bum deal to me. I notice that your fingerprints were complete when you went into background check. Mine were not complete until I went to manufacture pending.

Was hoping my phone call would prompt a change in status..... no such luck.

Let me know what you think about the Shield. We were talking to a guy at Winchester gun range in Ft. Worth last weekend about them and he said that he was very impressed with the Shield. I might have to look at getting one but will probably be a little while.

I will let you know.

What do you plan on using for your EDC? What does your hubby carry?

I have been practicing with the .38 and Kel-tec, but I bought an XD9sc just haven't figured out how to carry it concealed and comfortably yet. Hubby usually carries his .45 1911 or XD .40 and kel-tec as bug

How do you like your XD9sc? I shot one of those and found it to be really top heavy for my liking.

Have you looked into the Remora holsters? http://remoraholsters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I bought one and love it. Real easy to carry with most every type on clothing. Check out youtube, there are a couple of really good reviews by women and how they wear them.
