Freedom Munitions processing/delivery time

#1

Post by thenick_ttu »

I placed an order for 2,000 rounds of handgun ammo on May 2 from Freedom Munitions. My order status still says "processing."

I've never ordered any ammo online, much less 2,000 rounds so I have a few questions for those that have done this regularly...
1) Is this a typical time frame for processing when you're dealing with this many rounds?
2) Has anyone ordered from FM lately? Are they running behind?
3) Should I continue to be patient and give it a few more days or is it time to call/send an email and get an update on my order?
Like I said, I've never ordered this much ammo online so I don't want to automatically contact them if a typical processing time is 4 weeks or something. TIA

I ordered from them a little while ago (last round of discounts). I didn't have any problems. I ordered 1000 rounds and it was probably around two weeks (maybe less) before it came to my door. Great ammo, I'm very happy with it and will definitely buy from them again. Easiest thing is to just give them a call and see what's up.

I would Call or e-mail....

I've ordered 1000rd batches of 9mm three separate times from them and the longest one took only 5 days after ordered to ship. The orders were in Feb 2012, March 2012, and May 2012....

The ammo has been flawless...

Good luck...

I bought some 38 Spcl from them a month or so ago. Delivery was a couple of weeks, but worth waiting for. The ammo is beautiful. Liked it so much I patterned my reload on it.

I'd second the suggestion to call. I ordered 1500 rounds from them April 30th and they shipped out on May 2nd.

I've also had good experiences with Freedom Munitions -- fairly quick delivery, great prices, and great ammo.

just a quick update...

I did end up sending an email a day or two after starting this thread. FM promptly emailed me back and said they ran out of new .40 brass. He said he could substitute used brass for the 500 rounds I ordered and throw in 100 extra rounds or we could wait until new.40 brass came in. I happily took the deal, FM promtly mailed my order and it arrived a few days ago. Everything looks great. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet but I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for everyone's advice to contact them.
