I wonder why the security footage has not made it to the news yet. Don't worry if it is the CHL's bullet we will see it soon.
In the last 12 months or so, liberal media websites have become shameless about back-editing their stories without making notation to inform the viewer that they've done so. Just a few days ago there was a story on one of the Breitbart websites where they caught a major news publication in just such a cheat, with pre-edit and post-edit screen shots. The Breitbart site demanded that the other publication make a note on the page of their edits, and it was ignored. The other site continued to represent the edited page as original unedited content.

America's legacy media are as dishonest and disingenuous as the day is long. They have the ethics of a reptile. I NEVER accept what they publish at face value anymore. They're pretty much all a bunch of unprincipled liars, and when it comes to any article the facts of which would puncture their nice little pre-conceived notions, they'll bury the truth in a heartbeat rather than come to the conclusion that maybe they've been less than wise.

I recall a time in in this country that journalism was an honored and revered profession. It seems that honor, truth and professionalism have been replaced by, "sell, sell, sell, forget good news and truth, sell for $$$ and ratings".

I am not a nice person to those who lie to me. Quite unlike TAM.

Yes, it's called "felony murder." If someone is killed during a felony and as a result of that felony, it "felony murder."

It would be bad enough if it were simply because they were making money off of it...that is one level of bad. But the money is only half of it. The other half is to create an over-arching narrative to the public-at-large, the intention of that narrative is to assist in the re-election of their man in the White House. Conspiracy is far too intense of a description, as it connotates secret backroom meetings and the like...I don't believe that's the way it is, in general...simply the lot of them have an ideology within a specific part of the political spectrum (the left part) and so they all are kind of loosely working to the same goal. And when one uses a certain way to do things (like back-editing or using certain buzz-words or phrases), then the rest of them quickly pick it up.

...thanks...I looked in Chap 19 and I think that covers it...in La. a person who was in the store could even have a heart attack and you were charged with murder...or a partner in crime's death triggered the same thing...pretty tough law and pretty good one, too...

If I remember correctly, if you partner in crime is killed, even lets say by a policeman's bullet, you can be charged with murder.

Well that just is awful for everybody. The poor lady, her family, the CHL, all CHL's.

RIP.

oh man I hate that. Like said above though. Even though the CHL shot the clerk the robber should be charged with felony murder. The CHL holder should not be charged with anything if they were acting responsibly and missed their target hitting the wrong person. The article said the robber had a gun pointed at the clerk's head. I hate to use the term collateral damage but this happens in military and law enforcement situations all the time. The CHL was trying to save lives and made a mistake. I am sure that is hard to live with. I really hope there are no financial or legal repercussions for them. That death is the robbers fault.

I don't think it works that way. The shooter, CHL or otherwise is responsible for every bullet that leaves the barrel. If the shooter wasn't sure of his target he shouldn't have pulled the trigger. I agree it was the robber's actions that caused the CHL to draw their weapon so they should share the blame but ultimately it was the CHL who fired the firearm. I don't wish ill for our CHL/CCW brother though, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, He probably saved every one else's lives in the building.
