Hi, I am new to the forum, and have been watching my status online. It has been the same ever since March 24, all shows green except:

Fingerprints - Under Review
Background Check - Under Review

and of course the license status is pending

So tell me, why are my fingerprints under review?

Welcome to the Forum, we're glad to have you.

"Fingerprints under review" means one of two things. Either the FBI hasn't responded (because they are overloaded with noncriminal fingerprint checks), or DPS simply hasn't updated the website. Either way, you should be fine.

Just takes awhile. Back in the old days (a year ago ), it took at least 30 days for them to even acknowledge they had your packet. Now people think they are slacking if it is not mailed in 14 days. Take a deep breath, read and study, have a great time.

Me either I am beginning to think that there is one employee at DPS that gets assigned a handful of apps and than misses alot of work.
We tend to dismiss workers like that. Have not received a response to my email that I sent last week either.

My status was changed to Mailed on 5/3 but it was post marked 5/7 and I received it yesterday.

OK, so I did the Roanoak circuit today, carrying a loaded Judge Public Defender in my cargo shorts pocket ( White Hat order hasn't arrived yet).

First stop: Tractor Supply, talked to several employees who offered to help me find something, no one noticed anything.

Second Stop: Home Depot, walked through the whole store, talked to employees, bought my stuff (with a veterans discount) and left without incident.

Third stop: Wal Mart, wandered through the grocery section, bought vegetables and left without incident.

Final stop: Wal Mart Murphy USA gas station, filled three gallon cans and my truck, bought a carton of cigarettes and left quietly.

I wasn't nervous or even really conscious of the pistol in my pocket, no one pointed and stared, all was good.

I noticed that the Flower Mound Police were out in force on 377 between the town line and 1171, I passed three patrol vehicles sitting along the road clocking traffic. I, of course, was obeying the 60 mph speed limit, so I had no further interaction with them.
