FFL Questions

I have been considering getting a FFL but I have a few questions.

1. Generally speaking, how long does it take from Application to FFL in hand??

2. Can an FFL ship gun to himself? (ie.. lives in Tx, buys a gun in Fl...then ships to Tx.)

I have posted this on another forum, for those of you that may run across it.
