Outed at galleria Houston.

Howdy,
I've been lurking here for a while thought I would share an experience from yesterday.

The lil woman and I went to the gallaria to go browse stores and have a relaxing night and dinner. This is atypical cause we're up in the woodlands. We ended up looking around for suits and found our way into Ralph Lauren. I was happy to browse alone without needing to bother a salesman working on commission (let them sale to someone closer to a sale than me). Well, the fiancé's first act is to pull one in and tell him I'm here to try on suits.......

I have my full size m&p on me and not to happy about this move.

I deflect and mention that I really am just looking for a sport coat. Mine comes off and the salesman puts one on me; all is going well. Until he tries sizing me up. His hand goes right into my gun. He doesn't act like he notices until 5 min later his hand ends right back in the same spot. Then the question comes out. "Is that a cell phone?"
He's felt it and I'm made, so I say, "not exactly."
He goes, "it's a gun isn't it?".

Well to shorten up an already long post. He was acted as it was no big deal and the convo went to sizing pants with or without it. If I was going to carry with or without it. Carry options i.e. Hip or shoulder with a jacket... Which ended up with the three of us in the dressing room placing it under my arm to see how the jacket would fit with it.

If you are looking for European suits or Ralph Lauren clothing I recommend the salesman John. He's was very helpful and taught me a lot about suits

And ive had a conversation about how and why I shop the way I do and not to do that again.

A good suit guy is essential I feel. My best friend has been with Nordstroms for a while in Austin and he is fantastic. He has configured a carry wardrobe on more than a few occasions.

This is Texas. I suspect that most reputable suit shops run into this with some degree of regularity and the salespeople know to respect the customer's choice to carry a gun, or lose a good sale now and future sales going forward.
