Dallas: Woman arrested for stabbing, mutilating man

Post by seamusTX »

In Dallas a 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with castrating and fatally stabbing a man Saturday.

The incident occurred at a Motel 6 in the 8500 block of East R.L. Thornton Freeway in Pleasant Grove (Interstate 30).

Police reports said that the suspect rented the room earlier in the day. A security guard saw her leave the room naked and covered with blood. She was treated for what a police report called "offensive cuts” on her hands and finger.

The suspect has an attorney who says she was defending herself against a sexual assault by the deceased man.

The suspect and the deceased both had criminal records.

What are they putting in the water in Dallas? Usually stuff this weird happens in Florida.

I want to know if she left a tip for the housekeeper.

Can you imagine having to clean up that mess? "Honey, how was your day at work?"
:ack:

Seriously, this incident shows the difficulty of asserting a self-defense claim when the parties are involved in something—not just a straightforward robbery or burglary—and have criminal histories.

I'm not saying that someone with a criminal history cannot legally defend himself, but proving that it was self defense is a steep uphill climb.

My guess is this started out as a Secret Service "non payment for services" row that escalated.

That kind of service is always and everywhere payable with cash in advance. Nowadays some do take major credit cards from established clients.

When things go wrong it usually involves drugs or the client initiating violence.

(I know this only from extensive reading.)
