Our mailman is usually here at 10:15am on the dot. I stare out the window and wait for him to pull off so he doesn't think I'm a crazy person. I,too, have the fear that my license got lost in the mail or is delivered to the wrong person.
I wonder why it's taking this "batch" of them so long to mail out????

I wish they had the option to include a self addressed enveloped. I would have had an overnight enveloped. I figured it probably could save them some money as well.

Look, man...we don't need no stinking batchers!
I hope tomorrow rocks for you all!

I didn't even put it together... 4/20 in Austin, Texas... they probably lost the entire batch at the Bob Marley Festival. That short term memory loss will get ya.

Ha yeah they probably lost them on the way to go get snacks!
Called today and they said mine shows mailed on the 4-20 in their system. She said that they have gotten several calls and it looks like licenses that were mailed on the 19th or 20th have been getting calls from people not getting. They are looking into. She said that they don't reissue until 30 days, so they will wait until 5/20 to reissue if they don't show up.
Nothing here either. I've been going through catalog pages the past week in the remote chance of it being stuck between some pages. I even got upset with my girlfriend for throwing out a JC penney catalog without checking the pages.
I hope somebody that works at the DPS in Austin comes to read the forum, and maybe start looking for a mailing bin accidentally left somewhere.
Its so disheartening to know we're technically legal to carry, but so completely illegal to do so. I want my CHL in case the crazies come out drunk on cinco de mayo.
I do recommend that all of us call or e-mail the DPS and let them know that we are all in the same boat. Best case scenario, they realize they actually messed up on their side and it's not a postal issue so they send it out earlier than May 20th, and worse case scenario, they are aware of you not receiving it yet and you should continue to remind them until May 20th so they send it out on time instead of assuming you have received it.
As of now they probably assume that everyone who hasn't contacted them has actually received it. If anyone has a specific phone number or e-mail address that you have found to be successful, let us know.
I called them yesterday. First try, was on hold 20 minutes then it gave me a busy signal. Second try, a voice recording saying they have too many calls, and call later, then finally a lady answered stating the 5-20 date. I do hope they actually care enough to realize a possible mistake and try to rectify it.
