Horrible shooting/child abduction

This horrible story has to have a "why"?

The infant's deceased mother is reported to be white (formerly aka Caucasian). Who and where is the child's father?

What does her race have to do with anything?

You're going to have to help me here OG. Short of her picture being there, I see no mention of her race. The only race mentioned is that of the perps.

Witnesses told police an adult black female (wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans) shot an adult white female multiple times. An adult black male snatched the victim’s baby and the pair fled with the infant in what is believed to be a light blue Lexus, with the female driving. Police are still searching for the vehicle as of this posting.

A question for the ladies. Had this been you, would your carry weapon have been accessible fast enough for you to do anything about being victimized? How do you ladies carry? I ask because I would love to give advice to my daughter. She carries in her purse but if she were walking out with a baby in her hands, how would she get to her weapon fast enough?

I reposted this in case it got lost. I really would like to read what some of the ladies on the forum would do in this situation and how they carry that might have saved them.

But given the text of the link, and the fact that a lot of abductions deal with custody issues... It didn't seem like an unreasonable question to ask what race the father was, if you're wondering if he was involved. I'm told the spouse/significant other is always the first one to be checked out.

Both parents are while, both killer and it accomplice, the abductors, are described as black persons, one female and one male.

Waiting for more info after the infant is located.

I haven't seen a DNA test but perhaps her husband is the child's father, and it's possible he was at work at three in the afternoon.

I should have said where I saw the picture. I was channel surfing and saw a familiar scene on TV. I stopped to see what was happening in that area and it was Nancy Grace...(yeah...I know...lol) anyway... She showed a picture of the couple at their wedding... I think she said it was a Christmas wedding.

By the way... I thought like you when I first heard the story... Possibly a custody issue? When something like this happens, it seems worse when it is random because we have no control over it. I always get comfort hearing that the persons involved had some connection.

After having read a much more thorough story about this incident, I want to apologize that I played into the media game and jumped the gun on this one. The original story made it sound much different than it actually occurred. I'm leaving my original comment up because I'm not trying to hide the fact that I messed up. This thing wasn't some "domestic squabble" that went bad or anything of the sort, which is what I believed it to be initially; it was a full-on unprovoked assault, murder, and kidnapping. I'm relieved to hear the baby is okay and I'm glad they've made arrests in this one. Once again, my apologies for jumping the gun.
