Male, late 20s, single, financial analyst.

I got my CHL last year with the encouragement of my boss who also turned me on to this forum.

EDC is a Glock 26 with one reload, a 47s flashlight, and a Kershaw folder. I'm thinking of adding pepper spray.

Gollum,

Welcome! Have your wife join up here. There are several active ladies groups in the "Spring" area. A Girl and a Gun as well as DRAW At Thunder Gun Range. Would love to see her get involved - we gals have a great time. ;-)

hey guys,
21 years old, college student/employee for the City of Corpus Christi; I got myself a H&K p30 9mm but no holster to carry :( I'm 6'4 about 220lbs. I've had my plastic for about 2 months and personally, I don't see myself carrying as often as alot of members on here only because I feel like I'm young and i feel that i have a higher risk of doing stupid stuff (like drinking a lot, etc.) and i really don't wanna put myself in any situations where a handgun is inappropriate; I still want to carry during certain situations and I respect the rights for law abiding citizens to carry.

You're a little young to be Representative Randy Weber, besides living a little far north to represent district 29.

Hello all,

I love this forum. I've been lurking for a while but figured I'd briefly come out of the woodwork and introduce myself.

I am a refugee from Southern Kalifornia and have been loving it here in TX for the last 6 years. I hope you all won't hold where I come from against me. I'm not here to change things, but to fit in :txflag:

Given my state of origin, I never was around firearms the majority of my life unless you count plinking as a kid with .22s in Boy Scouts. Shotrtly after I settled in here, my co-workers and friends helped reveal my repressed love of firearms rather quickly. I bought my first shotgun. Then my first AR-15. Then my first pistol. And well, you get the idea...

I am 37, married, no kids yet. Pets are 5 parakeets, 1 umbrella cockatoo, and a German Shepherd (hence the name). I work as an Enterprise Systems Analyst for a well known Texas based international computer company.

I've had my CHL since 2011. I normally carry a Desert Eagle 1911 so when people ask me what I carry I can say, "A Desert Eagle." Then I sit back and enjoy their reaction before telling them, "No, not THAT one, just a good old 1911." When it's too hot or I can't otherwise dress for the .45, I will carry an SR9c or Ruger LCP.

Though to digress a little, I think the Desert Eagle .50s are great for home defense... if you're being attacked by a house.
...or for that matter, if the Death Star shows up.
