Re: "Waiting Room"
Austin received my package today. Now the wait. Don't know what's more agonizing--waiting for my CHL or a call that my Glock has arrived.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Why is the call agonizing? Go pick it up and take it to the range!gara56 wrote:Austin received my package today. Now the wait. Don't know what's more agonizing--waiting for my CHL or a call that my Glock has arrived.
Time at the range is the best way to take your mind off the wait.
Indiana Lifetime Handgun License
Re: "Waiting Room"
got my plastic today... or technically yesterday i guess. that makes it 43 days mailbox to mailbox. not bad!
Re: "Waiting Room"
I mailed my information off on March 2nd & got my fingerprints done on March 5th.
I've been checking the website for a status change, but it keeps says, "License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page..."
Do I just need to keep being patient or should I make a phone call??
Thanks!

I also mailed mine on March 2 and did fingerprints that same day. Mine has that "waiting on" message also. Patience, I guess.Jeff K. wrote:I mailed my information off on March 2nd & got my fingerprints done on March 5th.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Same here--except I emailed them just to see if they received my package and I get an email back from them says yes--they received it two weeks ago--then the website is updated that same day.Scott Farkus wrote:Wow, no sooner do I post about it and my status changes to:

Re: "Waiting Room"
I dont know that is taking so long i sent my stuff in on feb 19 and been stuck at Background Check Under review for about 13 days. is that normal i am only 20 but i from what i read some people said that part should be pretty quick. i have no speeding tickets and have a top secret clearance for the military so i though i should fly by this part but guess not... so ready to have it in hand. haha.
Re: "Waiting Room"
What is the link at DPS website to check status ? The one I look at is not showing anything. Or does it not update until all material is received ? I did online registration. Have fingerprinting done also. Going to mail the other documents tomorrow.

Re: "Waiting Room"
It takes a while to update. It took about two weeks from the day I mailed my packet (March 2) for the website to acknowledge that they had received it.Topdog77c wrote:What is the link at DPS website to check status ? Yesterday (March 30) it finally changed my background check to "complete" and my license status moved to "manufacturing". So it looks like it will take around 30 days start to finish, give or take a couple. Not bad for government work, I suppose, especially considering how swamped that office is said to be right now.
