I think it is disgusting---but to clarify---if it has Obama's image on it--then it is NOT an American flag.

This actually makes me angry. The American Flag stands for the Country, which is We the People, not any one president. The stupidity level of some people is just...

Flag Etiquette
STANDARDS of RESPECT
The Flag Code, which formalizes and unifies the traditional ways in which we give respect to the flag, also contains specific instructions on how the flag is not to be used. They are:
The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing. It is flown upside down only as a distress signal.
The flag should not be used as a drapery, or for covering a speakers desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general. Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes. The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.
The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard
The flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations. The flag should never have placed on it, or attached to it, any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind.
The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
Yeah, this really makes me angry. Our nation is about we the people, and government by consent of the governed, no ones face deserves to be on our flag. How is it that ANY american thought this was ok?

I just saw some Red and White Stripes with a picture next to it. It wasn't the flag. I don't see the big deal. Seems like these people are just making much ado about nothing. All one has to do is look at the number of people wearing shirts using the flag scheme as clothing including bikinis, shirts, shorts, pants, socks, hats, and other articles of clothing. I don't see the problem.
Very different thing than a flag theme. This was not a T shirt or bikini with a flag/obama theme, it was a flag. It was an altered US flag on a staff with the presidents face in place of the field of stars. Even Obama supporters should have recognised it as disrespectful and improper flag ettiquette.
Well at least they were flying it under the proper american flag instead of above it, but flying it with the correct american flag is a clear indication of it's intent to inflame patriots.
For the people who "pretend" to post the rules for the flag, namely "Troglodyte, who posted only part of the Code,
The correct code reads like this:
UNITED STATES CODE
U.S. Flag Code
UNITED STATES CODE TITLE 36 CHAPTER 10
Item (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark,
insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
It kinda changes the meaning when you leave out the key element "picture", doens't it?
