ScottDLS / "Annoying Orange" Back... (jeers)

Hi TX CHL Guys / Gals -

Well I just started catching up w/ TX CHL Forum again. I took little (~8mo. hiatus) to get a few (personal, job, health) things together. I'm guessing 0.1% of you are jeering, 0.2% saying "so what?", and 99.7% saying, "I don't care, who the heck is ScottDLS?, So shut up!".

So for the 0.2%.... . Back. New job... Still live in DFW area. Still proud continuous CHL since 1996.

Minor "on topic"... my new (HUGE) company policy says you can't have weapons on company property, except where such prohibition violates state law.... (Like in Texas parking lots)... :rules: Property, not premises.... Though they don't post 30.06 in Texas for their premises' nor have the wording in their HR regs.

Side note: There's (25%) less of ScottDLS since my last post' due to I decided/worked hard to drop a few (60) pounds. Previously didn't want to physically interact with other TX CHL'ers in DFW, since I was embarrassed about my weight (and hey there's no reason for that...it was my hang up). Anyway, I guess I'll post now when I have something to add. Maybe will catch up with some of you when/if any DFW get togethers.

Hi... thanks CHL folks for being positive on my weight loss! I have struggled on and off for 30 years with it. I am 45 years old, 5'10", and 187 now. I was 250 and on blood pressure meds 8 months ago. Still worried about gaining it back. I'm carrying (my gun) more now since my older pants have more room to conceal  .

Gratz and welcome back!

I've lost 100 lbs (350 to 250) in the last 5 months so I know how much better that feels. I see you're in the DFW area. If you're looking for a real workout, the likes of which you've (probably) never had before, go to a boxing/mma club and have one of their fighters train you. Gyms and fitness centers just ain't gonna cut it. I joined the Wylie Boxing Club a month and a half ago and it's been amazing. Wes (our trainer) puts my wife and I through a modified (due to our size and weight) fighters workout twice a week. And his prices are SOOOOO much more reasonable than a trainer at a fitness center.

Anyhoo, keep up the good work!

Good for you Scott. I'm nearing 60, and I would LOVE to get down to 250..........and I'm 5'10" also. Thyroid issues, and a spine in ruins are making that difficult.
