Around the year 2100 most the population of Texas pick up and move to a new planet to establish a culture more like the one they revere from our early history.

This is a sci-fi, murder mystery, western space-invaders story where ranchers herd their 15 ton supercows with tanks and aircraft and it is not necessarily illegal to shoot politicians. It all depends on whether they needed shootin' or not
.There are elements that would make you think the book was written recently but it dates from 1958.
