Getting out of the 9mm game? I noticed your other ad too, for the XDm9.

maaaaan, that's a pretty gun.
And it would match Mr. Shasta's Compact CDP.
I am really trying to justify this one in my head.

Thanks for the comments. Let me add that it is a really sweet shooter. My gf will put 200 rounds through a hole about the size of her fist at 7 yards.
It was a little picky on ammo at first just as most Kimbers are but it's just about done with the break in period. It likes S&B ammo, which I still have an unopened case (20 boxes of 50, 1000 rounds) I'll sell for $175.

I'm in the 1911 Market. I'm on the fence between several, but they're all 45's.
I have more 9mm ammo than any other (>10,000 rounds), still want 45.
In an effort to simultaneously advertise this gun and potentially convince me to buy, why 9mm in a 1911?

The purists will say if it's not chambered in .45ACP, it's not a 1911. <shrug> I don't subscribe to that viewpoint. There's nothing wrong with owning 1911s in .45, 9mm and other calibers.
We bought this because my gf prefers to shoot 9mm and wanted a 1911. This was the perfect one for her. One of the guys in our IDPA club shoots one like this in the ESP division. He is pretty fast and smooth with hit. It is much cheaper than shooting .45 for sure.
PS. I will be going to DFW this weekend (Feb 18/19) so if anyone is interested, I can bring it with me for a face-to-face sale in DFW.

Thanks!
Now the little hamster in my head is really running. I hadn't really considered a 9mm 1911 until now...

Re: WTS: 1911 Kimber Target II 9mm [ Austin ]
I can think of a reason I would be interested in a 1911 in 9mm. It gives you the same platform in two different calibers so one does not have to "adapt" when switching from .45 to 9mm in grip, trigger pull...ect. The 9mm is a little less expensive to shoot and lately has been easier to find than the .45. Think about it like this. They have Glocks in many different calibers for the folks who like the Glock platform. Why not do the same for the folks who like the 1911 platform?
I have considered getting a 1911 in 9mm and would be interested in this one if I were better off financially. When I am at the range, switching from my 1911 .45 to a Glock in 9mm takes a few rounds to get the trigger pull right and what not. Going the other direction is even stranger. Fire fifty or so rounds from a Glock and then switch to the 1911. LOL... the difference in trigger has actually caused me to set off a double or triple tap by mistake.

The extra mags are now included in the price. $899 gets you the pistol, factory case and gear, and four mags.
