Not sure if is anywhere close to what you are looking for, but cabelas has a citadel package on sale right now.

Could you elaborate a bit more about this 'package'? Size? What comes in the package? How much? Etc..

I saw a Citadel 1911 with novak sights at Academy for 499.99. Comes with 2 ACT mags.

Hope this helps. Here is the link below.

That bag and glasses aren't worth the extra 100.. at least I don't think. Thanks PawPaw.

Oh.. the grips. Forgot about those. Still not worth the extra 100 IMO. If you don't have anything though, then I suppose it's not that bad of a deal..

The Citadel comes with novac type sights, what cabellas has is not worth the $100 or more their asking, some f--l will buy the package. What is at Academy is the item I'm looking for, I would rather buy from a private individual that wants to sell theirs.

Check out the RIA officers 3.5" in the for sale firearms section by a member here. It is probably the best value for the money in a inexpensive (entry level) 1911 and already has the upgraded grip safety and trigger!

Thanks for the bump. I didn't actually upgrade anything myself. Came from the factory with the grip safety, and no trigger mods have been done. :tiphat:

But yes, take a look at my gun.

Yea, I re-read your post and fixed mine (after you already quoted). Good luck on the sale. :tiphat:
