I would honestly think that it would be common sense to not rob a Waffle House. Very "blue collar" as it was put earlier. The permit holder did exactly the right things. I'm sure many more experienced folks have heard the same thing, but the moment that the BGs try to get you to go anywhere (even the back of the restaurant) your likelihood of survival plummets and you are better served by resisting.

It's a damn shame that someone didn't get to this kid before his 29 yr old accomplice and teach him right from wrong. :(

I like how this one turned out. I also want to take this opportunity and give Waffle House a thumbs up. :mrgreen:

I stand by my previous comment ;-)

You can always judge an eatery by the sanitary conditions of the restroom. Especially if the restroom's soap dispenser is empty... :grumble

...Waffle House is the epitome of "greasy spoons"...from dirty cups and spoons to hairy food...I don't eat there and dread drinking coffee there...it's getting worse and so is the help...been going to the same one for 5 years(location nearby) and there is nothing but worse ahead...

If that is the one off 35 and 121, I ate in there a couple years back. It was a Saturday morning about 9 am and that place had people waiting twenty deep for a table. They were running em through like cattle. I can't remember when I was fed and shoved out the door quicker than that morning. It was the funniest thing I ever experienced. I bet we were at a table and out the door in ten minutes.

Another good reason not to eat at the waffle grease house!
Hey now, their food isn't that bad. It's a blue collar restaurant with good food and people friendly. My son and his navy buds practically live at the Waffle House.
Got as gooda' Omelettes as anybody and better'n most. I can do without the smoke, however.
I'm just giving y'all a bad time. I ate at Waffle House once, and it was okay. It's hard to find a place for a good cheap breakfast. I usually try to go to the small independent stores. I have had better luck with them than the chains.

I won't go to the Waffle House that is near work as it been robbed several times. http://www.wfaa.com/home/Houston-Masked ... 18074.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In your local waffle house robbery, a customer shot the getaway car after fetching his gun from his car. Obviously that customer doesn't have a CHL. You bet that customer is gonna invest in a CHL right quick, now!

Like I've been telling my less financially fortunate friends, invest in the CHL first because that may take months to approve (it took Austin 9, that's NINE months! to approve mine). Then, when you save up more money, buy a gun. Don't even look at the price of the gun because the cost of range fees and bullets will be 99% of the cost of arms ownership, not the price of the gun. If you're on a budget, get a 9mm because the ammo is cheapest for a 9mm. If you're really on a budget get a .22 lr. You can get a .22 lr revolver for about $100. Any gun is better than no gun.

:iagree: Granted, it ain't breakfast at Tiffany's but WH puts out a good breakfast at a reasonable price. If you don't like it, there's an IHOP somewhere at 3x the price of WH. Afterall, an egg is an egg, eh?

...we drive twenty miles one way to get good homestyle cookin' at a family restaurant with some fine waitresses...eating in a restaurant should be enjoyable and relaxing...not necessarily an adventure or a science project...WH and IHOP don't cut it...nor Denny's...
