I find this very upsetting for two reasons:

1) I don't own a gun like that. (had to type that quietly so Glockie didn't hear)
2) I didn't think about doing it first!

It was self defense, he was clearly being attact by the laptop. It was a hard lesson, I hope she learned from it. I also liked the part when she's not grounded anymore, "what ever year that is." :thumbs2:

anybody notice that he had to cock the hammer to fire the first round? it looked like a typical GI 1911. did he lower the hammer onto a live round?!

The original JMB designed 1911 was designed so it could be de-cocked one handed by cavalry troops on horseback. I believe it was an Army requirement. It has to do with how the hammer hits and depresses the grip safety.

Whether any current "GI" pistols work the same way is a question I don't know the answer to.

That is one mistake I hope she learns from! It was his laptop, his bullets, a safe backdrop, and his daughter he was disciplining. He did no physical damage to her, and made a very serious point that needed to be made. Facebook is not a venting place for childish anger. People get fired all the time for doing the very same thing. Losing a laptop at 15 may seem terrible but losing a job in five years would be much worse. A very hard and expensive lesson, but one worth teaching.

What is it for?

Originally it was a way for college students to hook up and keep in touch. Then they allowed high school jb. Then anybody. Now companies have facebook pages. :ack:

I had an account in 2006 but dropped off when the standards dropped. Back then people would have laughed AT someone who said they want to friend walmart.

:iagree: I had the same thought. But then there wouldn't have been anything left to give his daughter. :evil2:

When I see stuff like that, I sympathize. But I also realized how fully blessed I've been with my three and their momma.

We have gone through similar scenarios with my daughter that sparked this man to make this video, although my daughter never posted a letter like that on FB. But the laziness, the disrespect and the b**ching that she gets treated like a "slave" was all there. We have come up with some pretty creative punishments, and she got a LOT of stuff taken away - cell phone, computer, car. I will be showing this video to her when she gets home from school, to show her that it all could've been much worse in terms of punishment. I applaud this man for trying to teach his child respect and discipline.

I still do.

Just a redneck Daddy raisin' his redneck daughter. She throws a temper tantrum and posts bad stuff about Daddy on Facebook, so he throws an adult temper tantrum and shoots her laptop. It could have been handled a lot more positively. Maybe he could have given the laptop to the lady who actually DOES clean their house...........or donated it to someone else who needed it instead of destroying it....... (It was still funny though!)

People, including teen age drama queens, do what is expected of them...sooner or later. I also applaud the father.
