It won't be stupidity that gets him four more years. It will be laziness to not use your vote. That is the biggest travesty of our election system, to just disregard your ability to influence your future.

Hitler and Jack the Ripper "Got a LOT done"........

The important thing is...WHAT is being done/accomplished.

I submit the same caution to those who summarily praise "Hard Workers". Nothing wrong with hard work (usually a commendable attribute) BUT it depends on WHAT you are working hard AT!

But look at what actually was done!

Lyndon Johnson was unquestionably the WORST president in my lifetime, with his "Great Society" programs responsible for most of our national debt and the blood of tens of thousands of dead Americans in Vietnam on his hands, a war his treasonous meddling and micromanagement guaranteed would not be won. For BHO to actually praise the unspeakably vile filth that was LBJ does much to give insight into the man's character . . . and it's not a pretty sight. :mad5
LBJ inherited that war and hated it. He was being lied to by Robert McNamara and company. I can’t put the total blame for that war on LBJ.

LBJ did do a few good things while in office and as a bit of trivia, he was a member of the Army Air Force in WWII.

“Mr. McNamara must not escape the lasting moral condemnation of his countrymen,” The New York Times said in a widely discussed editorial, written by the page’s editor at the time, Howell Raines. “Surely he must in every quiet and prosperous moment hear the ceaseless whispers of those poor boys in the infantry, dying in the tall grass, platoon by platoon, for no purpose. What he took from them cannot be repaid by prime-time apology and stale tears, three decades late.”
God Bless America, and please hurry.

Legislative and foreign policy he says! As good as any but LBJ, Lincoln and FDR.

He is entitled to his opinion and I am entitled to mine. As a history major I am offended! I honestly can't wait to see what people write about him thirty years from now! No matter what your political views for him to even put himself with those presidents shows the guy definitely has a huge ego!

I know all the presidents who had the greatest impact on our country regardless of what party they where and I can think of at least 6 in the twentieth century who are hands down better then him without any argument. Yes and 3 of them are democrats! Don't even get me started on the early presidents and foreign policy. What a joke!

He is talking about social movements, big government and civil rights. Not legislative and foreign policy! He wants to bring about the next "jump" in what he deems social/civil progression. If he had it his way he would have a statue right next to Lincoln! Lincoln is his hero if I remember correctly. He would want nothing more then to be a legend. He wants history to remember him as another Lincoln, FDR or LBJ!

The question of how the war in Vietnam should have been waged/altered/ended/etc. can be argued until people are blue in the face...my disgust with LBJ is about that "Great Society" welfare boondoggle business. The wrecking of Social Security to fund it, for starters. People have been led to believe that the money they pay into Social Security will be there waiting for them when they get old; its NOT. It already got spent, a long time ago...and every penny paid in gets paid out, and then some...and that mess got started (if you don't count the concept of Social Security ITSELF as a mess) when LBJ started his bleeding heart pay people to be lazy program. THAT is the beef I have with that man's legacy to this nation and its very telling that the White House Occupier would think of LBJ as one of the great presidents when he was nothing of the sort.

That picture was taken at an angle, resulting in an exaggeration of his pose (look at the picture on the wall behind him). I have no idea if it was deliberate or not. I discount that picture as an example of an arrogant pose, though I agree that you can find many others that are.

BTW, I would vote for Ron Paul before I would vote for BO.

While a worthwhile thought, unfortunately the will of the people (General Election) does not decide the election! :banghead: :banghead:

I think that Mr. Obama would not be capable of delivering a speech in public

Obama is the first worst president we ever had. He even has had a hard time
proving he is a Natural born citizen like the constitution says he has to be.
I don't see why anyone should be opposed to a law that any canidate for
public office must be able to prove he/she is legally eligable to take office
if elected before getting his/her name on a ballet

Another word for "stupidity" is "ignorance." I think ignorance is what could get him re-elected. People don't know *why* they believe what they believe or why they have their opinion. They can't articulate their reasoning. I don't think most understand what's going on to make an informed decision...which makes them an easy target to be manipulated by the media, etc. I think there should be a simple test before you can be able to vote. Questions should include very simple things like, "Who has the majority in the House?", "Who has the majority in the Senate?", etc. There's a really good documentary called "Media Malpractice" and at the end it showed a lot of exit interviews of people who just voted in 2008 and they couldn't answer the most basic questions. A lot thought the Republicans had the majority in Congress. They couldn't say which candidate thought there were 54 states (Obama), but they knew who supposedly spent $100,000 on their wardrobe :grumble

:nono: Nope. Can't do it. Requiring voters to pass any sort of test would be racially discriminatory, especially if it were a written test. ;-) You can thank LBJ and his Democratic Congress for doing away with basic literacy tests. I understand that requiring voters to be literate and to know a few simple facts about government seems to be plain common sense to you and me, but common sense does not apply in today's America.

It's not just his opinion. There's a documentary so it must be true.
