Just Wondering

Post by psaman »

So I waited till Jan. 4th to renew my CHL even though it expires the middle of March 2012. Since I have had a license since Texas started issuing and online renewal is available now, I thought it would go smoothly. On about the 9th of Jan, I checked online to see the status of my renewal and the website said my fingerprints were no good (even though there were good last time) and that a letter had been mailed to me stating so. It also said I would have to make an appt. with L1. Not wanting to wait for the letter, I made the appt with L1 and had my fingerprints taken on the 17th. To L1's credit, they emailed me the 20th and told me the fingerprints had been rejected and to come in for a re-printing; which I did on the 23rd.
Today, I got my letter from DPS, dated the 9th, but postmarked the 27th, advising me of the original "on file" prints being no good; which I have already taken care of. Okay, this hasn't been a horror story, but I thought licensing was supposed to go smoother now, especially renewals; just wondering. :banghead:
