Manufacturing Status

Post by bigtex76 »

I checked the DPS website for the first time and it showed Manufacturing. How long does it take to receive the card from this point. They are moving quick. I took the class on 12/31 and sent the paper work on 1/4. :thewave

I think it's been varying, but hopefully, your luck will continue and it will move through the remaining statuses quickly!

i can't believe you didn't check it before now!! Ours got delayed mailing for a couple of days--J was going to mail it using stamps.com--but then he didn't have the right form and got busy and didn't make it to the post office. If he had told me I would have done it!

I didn't want to pull it up to see in what step it was in. If I did that, I would probably check every day on it. I figured if I didn't pay attention to it, it would go by faster. I did sent it through certified mail to make sure they received it. Maybe I will receive it in a week or two. :anamatedbanana

Seems like they sometimes just "let it go" after it reaches "Manufacturing." There have been several people here who received their cards while the web site still said "Manufacturing" or "Manufacturing pending." I think the people that update the website are different from the people who handle the card processing, so it's a classic case of "your mileage may vary."

Mine went into manufacturing on the 17th, mailed on 20th and received today. So me and sprinkles will be taking our first walk together later today.
:chldancing

Hopefully I will never find the need to introduce her to a BG.

Hang in there, you'll receive yours before you know it.

Thank you Texas10X.

Sprinkles and I got along just fine. Did the Wally World thing and even picked up some ammo for tomorrow. When I first walked into Wally World I felt all eyes on me so I kept tugging on my shirt to make sure sprinkles was covered and she wasn't printing. Probably drawing more attention to myself. It wasn't until I walked past a mirror that I realized I had drawn on my cheek with a sharpie while I was packaging a box to mail in the car. Then I relaxed completely. While I was looking in the ammo case, a young man circled me saying "you like guns, you like guns". A Walmart employee overheard him and told the young man that I was probably buying them for my boyfriend or husband. At first I was a little insulted, "girls like guns too" I wanted to say but then I realized he actually did me a favor.

After Wally World, I went to an asian market for some soup. Posted is what I believe is a 30.06 sign in chinese or vietnamese. I could only read the 30.06 at the top of the sign. Of course my cellphone had died so I couldn't take a picture of it to post on the forum. The next time I go I will make sure to take a picture.

Back home safe and sound and a few dollars lighter. It was a great first day!

Sounds like you had a great "walk"! And, you've obviously found the secret formula for calming down... a Sharpie mark to the face! Whatever works to break the tension!!! Anyway, glad to hear all went well.

Thanks for all the input and stories. I just checked the status early this morning and it says "MAILED." Getting excited. That took less than a month.

That's great news, bigtex76! You're so close you can almost feel the plastic in your hand, right? :anamatedbanana
