...yer just eggin' him on, WildBill...even by his own definition(and two other dictionaries I checked) the guy didn't brandish his gun...he pointed it right at them...no wavin', flourishin', or none of that such...he did just what the code says (maybe KeithB's from Virginia)...he exhibited it and used it...but neither in showing it while holstered...nor pointing it right at them...did he "brandish" it...

Maybe, what did they do before they got to the rest stop, on the highway before stopping, perhaps...possibly some kind of road-rage thing that carried into the rest stop...

Yeah, what I failed to mention my first comment was my overall skepticism simply based on a long history of reading news accounts that are completely inaccurate and bear little if any resemblance to what actually happened. With "normal" news reporting, I am surprised they didn't refer to his handgun as an AK-47.

They only call LONG-guns AK-47s...any handgun is a Glock...such as Colt Peacemaker = Glock, 1911 = Glock, Luger = Glock...except, if it WERE actually a Glock...then its an "assault weapon with assault clips".

I haven't had extra funds lately, so to avoid tears I've avoided window shopping. That would still be a best case scenario for those of us with CHLs, unless he turns out to be a drug dealer with felonies who purchased the weapon illegally on the streets.

There is truth in what you say, but there is also truth in all guns being an AK-47. I think there are different subspecies of idiot journalists. Guess it depends which idiot is reporting.
