I can't golf well with a pistol on my hip, throws my swing off. Kudos to you for carrying while golfing.

I've heard about Top Golf, a little too far out of my zip code for normal excursions, but will have to make it over there someday. My somewhat decent (ie - horrible :biggrinjester:) swing doesn't seem to be phased by my S&W Bodyguard .38 in my front right pocket, it's pretty comfy. :tiphat:

:iagree:

Definitely would need ankle holster or small of the back carry to still play and carry at the same time.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I've wondered what carry options there were for playing golf. I know I wouldn't want to put my EDC in my golf bag. While I don't have the best swing, I can only imagine that carrying OWB/IWB would either print during the swing or interfere. Guess this means I need to get another gun for pocket carry! Don't know if ankle carry is viable in summer (or even spring, fall or winter in Texas for that matter!).

Truth be told, the material that modern golf pants are made of (mostly polyester) is very breathable, and keeps you cooler than shorts. I golf year round, and in the summer, prefer to wear my pants. Though, squatting down to read a putt would expose a handgun carried on the ankle.

For those course that are in questionable areas, I might wear cargo pants and carry my pistol in the cargo pocket. Typically, I will leave it in my truck. On rare occasion, I will put it in my bag.

I have gone into a golf shop and hit balls in a simulator while carrying IWB with my XD40 in my Supertuck. Not exactly the most comfortable thing.

On a more related note (to the OP) that place looks pretty awesome. As much as I love golf, I could spend all day there! Though, admittedly, I would most likely be in no condition to carry a handgun. I dont drink on the course any more, but that place aint the course.

FYI...Top Golf is AMAZING!!!!

It was so much fun! This was my first visit but definitely not my last.
You don't need to be an excellent golfer to enjoy the heck out of yourself up there. They have games for all skill levels.
This place has it all....the lanes are plenty big, flat screens EVERYWHERE, lots of lighting and plenty of comfy patio type furniture and even space heaters hanging above you if you start to get a little chilly. They have a full bar and a pretty good menu that is on par with Chili's or Applebee's price wise. I had a burger with sweet potato fries that was pretty good and before that we had some beer battered onion rings and boy let me tell you what.....best onion rings I've had in a long time.

All in all I love this place. Super laid back and easy going and the staff was all super friendly.
Atmosphere, full bar, great food and cute wait staff....there is NO need to go anywhere else. This place has it all!!

Medic - thank you for the review. Question for you - did you notice if they are cigar-friendly? Golf and cigars go together like scotch and cigars...well, at least for me. :tiphat:

I did notice a fella tokin' on a stogie...and then I saw one of the girls shoo a guy off for smoking a cigarette. Maybe they just have smoking in designated areas or something. I didn't pay any attention to it since I don't smoke.
There may be something on their web site about it.

How crowded was the place? Did you have to wait to get a spot?

Well, I went on a Monday at about 5 PM so there wasn't a wait and we got to pick our lane. They said it does get busier on the weekends though.
We closed the place down(10PM) but business did pick up as the night went on but it was never "crowded" in my opinion.
The offer a monthly membership that allows you access to a special level or something and the ability to cut the line if there is one.
If I lived closer than 40 min away I might look into it.
