Re: Firearm Negligence
Can't remember her name, but I've seen her in a couple of other YouTube videos...she shoots various guns (as well as doing other activities such as fishing), and her husband records her...one of those internet channel things...they're from Louisiana, IIRC.ajwakeboarder wrote:I gotta give props to the last lady that had the casing go down her shirt. Re: Firearm Negligence
I bought a .25 at a gun show . I loaded the Mag inserted full mag
Pulled back the slide. THe gun went off with the eject port open.
A part of the exploded shell casing flew out the eject port (in pieces)
On examination I found that the fireing pin was defective. it was
hitting the primer when the slide was released without pulling the trigger.
I took it to a gunsmith. Moral of the story check your gun for mechanical defects
and don't assume anything. I was neglient for not checking a used gun before firing.
Lucky no body hurt

Re: Firearm Negligence
The firing pin on the SKS I bought from Cabella's was jammed forward and so caked with cosmoline that it took me an hour or so to work it loose. It works fine now after just a thorough cleaning of the bolt assembly, but if I had tried to chamber a round without doing that first I would've slam fired my way through the whole magazine.tommyg wrote:I bought a .25 at a gun show .
